Having been led, as we believe, by God’s grace alone to repent of our sins and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, and upon our profession of faith in Him, having been baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, we do now solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with each other.
By God’s grace we will endeavor to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (Eph. 4:1-3; Mat. 5:9, 23-26; Rom. 12:18-21; 14:19; Phil. 2:1-4; Col. 3:12-14; II Tim. 2:22; Heb. 12:14)
To love one another without hypocrisy but with a pure heart fervently, esteeming others as better than ourselves, as becomes Christ’s disciples and our heavenly Father’s dear children. (Rom. 12:9; I Pet. 1:22; John 13:34-35; I Cor. 13; Eph. 5:1-2; I John 3:10-24; Col. 3:12-14)
To defend the faith once for all delivered to the saints, retaining the standard of sound words recorded in Scripture. (Jude 3-4; II Tim. 3:14-17; 4:1-5; II Pet. 1:16-21) 23-25; Eph. 4:1-17)
To attend faithfully the stated seasons of worship, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together. (Hebrews 10:
To pursue that holiness demanded of the saints, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, and also admonishing one another as occasion may require. (Hebrews 10:23-25; 12:14; Romans 6; Titus 2:12; Gal. 6:1-5; Eph 5:13-21; I Pet. 1:15-16)
To bring up those under our care in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, providing an example before them of love and respect. (Eph. 5:1-6; Col. 3:18-4:1; I Pet. 3:1-12)
To seek actively to witness to others through our words and godly deeds concerning the hope That is within us and our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Mat. 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:48; Acts1:8; Eph. 2:8-10; Titus 2:11-15)
To work wholeheartedly together to build and sustain a faithful Gospel ministry in this church and support it by our fervent prayers, our financial gifts, and our selfless service (Eph.1:15- 20; 3:14- 21; 6:18; Mal. 3:10; Mat. 23:23; I Cor. 16:2; II Cor. 9:6-7; I Tim. 5:17-20; Eph. 4:11-16)
To submit ourselves graciously to the authority of the Scriptures, the oversight of our leaders, and the admonishment and discipline of the church. (I Thess. 5:12-13; Heb. 13:7,17; Mat. 18:15- 20; I Cor. 5:6-13; II Cor. 6:14-18; Gal. 6:1)
To pray for continued grace that we may carry out the spirit of this covenant whether present or absent from this assembly until Christ returns. (II Cor. 5:1-11; John 14:1-6; I Thess. 4:1-18).
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all. Amen
